About this area

Autonomy is validated before it is trusted. At model scale we test guidance, control and collision-avoidance algorithms for uncrewed surface vessels, autonomous underwater vehicles and remote-operated craft in realistic wave and current conditions.

The living digital twin built for the basin allows real-time observation of position, velocity, orientation and the autonomy variables of the model during a run, so control behaviour can be watched and tuned as it happens.
